How To Unkill
Two dead birds with
One logical stone
The following contemplation is crystal clear in my cranium. Hope it translates through type.
“What do you think of western civilization?”
“I think it would be a great idea.”
– Mohondas Gandhi
Archie Bunker : “Capital punishment is a well known detergent to crime.”
Michael Stivik: “Capital punishment has never been proven to be a “deterrent” to crime.”
Archie Bunker : “We believe it is in this house, buddy.”
Gloria Stivik : “Mom, do you believe in Capital punishment?’
Edith Bunker : “Well yeah.”
Gloria Stivik : “Mother!!”
Edith Bunker : “So long as it ain’t too severe.
“All In The Family”
Recently, some nudnick, ooops, a politician from Tennessee. Representative Paul Sherrell.
“The House Criminal Justice Committee of the Tennessee legislature was discussing a bill to add the firing squad to electrocution and lethal injection as the state’s death penalty options when Rep. Sherrell suggested one more.
“Could I put an amendment on that that would include hanging on a tree, also?” he inquired during Tuesday’s proceedings.

Hmmmmm. Tennessee, *Lynchings for the crime of let’s see…. Any epidermis, darker than pink.
Tada…apology.
After clips of the committee meeting went viral, he eventually apologized. Like most racists and their begrudging apologies, he only seems sorry that he got caught, not that he said and believed in it.

“I regret that I used very poor judgment in voicing my support of a colleague’s bill in the Criminal Justice Committee on Tuesday. My exaggerated comments were intended to convey my belief that for the cruelest and most heinous crimes, a just society requires the death penalty in kind. Although a victim’s family cannot be restored when an execution is carried out, a lesser punishment undermines the value we place on protecting life. My intention was to express my support of families who often wait decades for justice. I sincerely apologize to anyone who may have been hurt or offended.”
– Representative Paul Sherrell
Plus with minimal research find that Tennessee Representative is against abortion.
So here, this might be an unconventional solution, however It raises the level of awareness to an evolutionary level, while not stopping either, yet gives both sides something to THINK about.
“Now, I don’t care about capital punishment one way or another ‘cuz I know it dosn’t do anything. It doesn’t do anything, ‘cept maybe satisfy a kind of Biblical need for revenge.
You know, if you read The Bible, you see that it’s full of retrebution and revenge. So really, capital punishment is kind of a religious ritual. It’s a purification right. It’s a modern sacrament. And as long as that’s true, I say, let’s liven it up a little!
I honestly believe that if you make the death penalty a little more entertaining and learn to market it correctly, you just might be able to raise enough money to balance the stupid fucking budget!!”
– George Carlin
Instead of lethal (a euphemism for DEADly) injection, firing squad or lynching. We place the Death row inmate in cramped water tight quarters, attached to umbilical tubing supplying oxygen, nutrients and removing waste.
Then we let Rep. Sherrell go in with giant forceps and a suction device to remove the most heinous of criminals from society, or…….. the wrongly convicted, tearing limbs out first, resulting in the death of a grown fetus.
Which is murder, and now that we have evidence that Rep. Sherrell killed a human being, we can start the cycle all over. Not to mention, making abortions legal again.
How is it, that the state will do everything it can to save a fetus, but when it grows up unloved, poorly guided, to a parent or parents who didn’t want it in the first place, then commits a violent or deadly crime. Becomes an easily discardable un-person that the state can’t wait to kill, for not living up to their grandiose “its a miracle” expectations.

“Strange Fruit”
Southern trees
Bear a strange fruit
Blood on the leaves and
Blood at the root
Black bodies swinging
In the Southern breeze
Strange fruit hanging
From the poplar trees
Pastoral scene
Of the gallant South
The bulging eyes
And the twisted mouth
Scent of magnolias
Sweet and fresh
Then the sudden smell
Of burning flesh
Here is a fruit
For the crows to pluck
For the rain to gather
For the wind to suck
For the sun to rot
For the tree to drop
Here is a strange
And bitter crop
– Billy Holiday
“Strange Fruit”
“In March 1939, a then-23-year-old Billie Holiday closed out her set at New York’s Cafe Society with a song she hadn’t performed before: “Strange Fruit.”
Written by Jewish schoolteacher Abel Meeropol, the song was a mournful dirge for Black victims of lynchings in the Jim Crow-era South, vividly likening their bodies to fruit “hanging from the poplar trees.”

As of this writing, 84 years is a long time not to evolve, it is not like we are trying to collectively grow another thumb. Just change awareness that regardless of skin color, we are all just bipedal earthling artists riding on this spaceship through the cosmos.
84 years is a long time not to evolve. And in some ways, we’re going backward. That’s the most distressing part. And yes, Republicans only care about the live of fetuses and the wealthy. Otherwise, “No Lives Matter.”
