Blinded by the light

April 18, 2017

Artificial light

Artificial protection

Mystery is gone

Under blinding lumens

Everywhere you go

Braveless brilliance

Nothing to lurk

In the darkness

Keeping you alert

With your senses

Iridescent intuition

Dangerously dimmed

Acquiescent to fluorescent

Almost too much in need of led

A near bludgeon from halogen

24 hours of daylight we lust

Must be ourselves we don’t trust

Uninspired from an unfortunate observation while driving to the gym at 5 a.m. of so much illumination, could have gotten there without headlights.
