Dead Or Alive

I think my very existence is hypocritical

Because it is based on unreal perceptions

How can I be alive if I can never be dead

How can I know things without knowing

Where and when is that information stored

The vehicle I am riding in will disintegrate

Onto the earth and then into the cosmos

Will I be able to choose the next vehicle or

Will it be another rental to go where I need to

Where the masters of wisdom have laid out

A map / route to learn along the way though

I might know the map but not see the map

Is the technology catching up to the soul

Like a GPS when you make a wrong turn

Is there an inaudible re-calculating notice

That you can feel but which can not be seen

To get me to my next temporary destination

All the while wondering if I am dead or alive
