Is what this country

Was founded on

Under the big tent with

Three rings of hypocrisy

Executive, Legislative

And tipable Judicial

So darkly blindfolded

She cannot see who

Is tipping the scale

In wealth’s favor

(Though lately, it seems to be nillionaires in support of an alleged billionaire, in the unlikely event, that they find themselves with such unearned monies, they too would like, the same white-collared, criminal, hands off, do anything disdainful privileges, that, what’s his name gets.)

In a collective paradigm shift

Where bipedal earthling artists

Leap to the evolutionary

Awareness that all are one

Experiencing the joy of

Love, laughter and truth

We find ourselves on the

Bleachers in the big tent

Ooohing and aaaahing at

The jugglers and magicians

Distracting our attention away

From the donkeys and elephants

That are shitting and stomping

Splattering their feces

On the unsuspecting audience

So easily distracted

Like a cat with a laser pointer

Pausing for a moment

On perpetual easy targets of

Guns, flags and immigration

For each group to pounce on…..

Then move the pointer on to

Abortions, crime, sports, media

Voting “rights”, sexuality, education

Drugs, violence and homelessness

Which, even from the cheap seats

Are each collectively solvable

Without a doubt, if we wanted to

Yet, we are so amused

No one has noticed that most of

The animals have gone

And the tent is on fire……



So next time you hear that this country operates under the Rule of Law, replace Law with Circus, and it will make a lot more sense.
