Through The Lens

June 26, 2023

Of a calendar

While the clock strikes 13

As we approach 2024

40 years past

The dystopian projection

Of Orwell’s 1984

Written in 1948

The names have been changed

But not to protect the innocent

Rather to replicate the ignorance

If one listens to the noise

Emanating from the tele-screams

(what a useful typing error of tele-screens)

It is as clear as doublethink and

Twice as much as doubleplusungood

That a war….

Is in measurable distance from its end

“Attention,
Your attention, please

A newsflash has this moment
Arrived from the Malabar front

Our forces in South India
Have won a glorious victory

I am authorized to say
That the action

We are now reporting
May, well bring the war

Within measurable
Distance of its end

Here is the newsflash

Plusgood
Doubleplusgood”

“Doubleplusgood”

– Eurythmics “1984” Soundtrack

Based on George Orwell’s “1984”

Which, having recently listened to

Makes news interesting to watch

Regarding Russia and Ukraine

That the forces in charge were about

To turn on their alleged leader

As the talking head with a straight face

Reported (I swear I heard this) that the war

“Was in a measurable distance from its end”

Did they too, just listen to the same book?

Or was the talking head reading a teleprompter?

I am guessing it was the teleprompter.

Given that, if it was a “human” broadcaster

The “performance” * would come to a screeching halt

* (most “news” programs……are called…”shows”)

Then, breaking character, would speak up and

Point out the similarities that the “report”

Although unfortunately not “fake”

Must merely be information constantly used

To be a distraction for the hypnotized masses

Highlight, that if presented a different way

Might sound like the following….

Today, bipedal earthling artists, from this geographic area (shown on a map) are using weapons of mass destruction to murder and slaughter other bipedal earthling artists near this area of the map.

You, me, the bipedal earthling artists, attacking, defending, defending, attacking the “other” bipedal earthling artists, (pulling back the map, to reveal a globe)…. are all on this sphere, earth.

Mother Earth, who birthed out all the bipedal earthling artists from a Gaia consciousness, all hurling through the cosmos as one.

Therefore, our best chances at a continue-able evolution ought to recognize that and not play out our lives as hegemonic puppets and pawns, in a global chess game, between other hegemonies.

Oceania, Eastasia and Eurasia, with the prevailing perception that, he who dies with the most toys……wins. When the reality is, that he who dies with the most toys, is still dead and cannot play with the toys. All born out of generational indoctrination that wars are “winnable”, which is impossible, when war is continuous.

To feed the power hungry, who did not receive enough, if any nutritional love, from shitty parents and a sick society that is Hell bent on keeping bipedal earthling artists fighting amongst themselves.

“So that they, can keep going to the bank.”

– George Carlin

By calling all combatants bipedal earthling artists, it might just be a gentle tap on the shoulder to wake up the living dead, to recognize we are all bipedal earthling artists and are heretofore committing a protracted collective suicide.

“I write to expunge the darkness so
That someday light may shine through”

– Angelo Devlin

“Russians”

In Europe and America, there’s a growing feeling of hysteria
Conditioned to respond to all the threats
In the rhetorical speeches of the Soviets
Mr. Krushchev Putin said we will bury you
I don’t subscribe to this point of view
It would be such an ignorant thing to do
If the Russians love their children too

How can I save my little boy from Oppenheimer’s deadly toy
There is no monopoly in common sense
On either side of the political fence
We share the same biology
Regardless of ideology
Believe me when I say to you
I hope the Russians love their children too

There is no historical precedent
To put the words in the mouth of the President
There’s no such thing as a winnable war
It’s a lie we don’t believe anymore
Mr. Reagan Zelenskyy says we will protect you
I don’t subscribe to this point of view
Believe me when I say to you
I hope the Russians love their children too

We share the same biology
Regardless of ideology
What might save us, me, and you
Is if the Russians love their children too
