Fear Not
The imaginary apocalypse
Of a nonexistent end time that
Will never occur regardless of
How many books it is in, in
Any language or of any deity
Open to cryptic interpretation of
Vague and dismal understanding
That there are any evil forces
Outside of our own making
Or convoluted conjuring
There can not be a war in heaven
When there is no heaven or hell
(Imagine that)
(If so, where are they)
Any more than the *Green Lantern
Has a ring “to shoot energy beams,
fly, translate all languages, and of course,
create green light energy constructs”
– Andrew Ceco “sideshow.com”
Or Wonder Woman has “Special” bracelets
Or that Superman loses his power
From being exposed to kryptonite
Why?
Because they are made up
By the imaginations of writers
Knowing words create
A perceivable reality
Within the realm of subjectivity
As a powerful means
To stimulate and control
Inspire or injure, albeit to
Formulate context while
Fantasizing content
Satiating imaginations
Gone wild for entertainment purposes

“But these lunatics always go, ‘It says in the Bible…’
Oh, OK, stop, hang on. I’m glad you like a book,”
//
“Just because you like something in a book doesn’t mean you can have the thing you like in the book happen in real life. That’s what crazy people want!”
“I can’t go to the White House with a bunch of Green Lantern comics and go, ‘I want a Green Lantern ring! I saw it in a book I like. Make the thing in the book I like, be here now!’
I would be justifiably tased if I did that.”
– Patton Oswalt
The only manifestation of Armageddon
Will happen of our own collective ignorance
Failing to recognize all is of a single energy
Not because it is written in some book
That has been retold, rewritten, revised
Translated, twisted, turned inside out
To keep the masses fighting amongst themselves
While the puppeteers go to the bank
After washing the blood off their hands
“I write to expunge the darkness so
That someday light may shine through”
– Angelo Devlin
“Oh, God of Earth and Altar”
(Best sung by Bruce Dickinson on Iron Maiden’s “Revelations”)
“Oh, God of Earth and Altar
Bow down and hear our cry
Our earthly rulers falter
Our people drift and die
The walls of gold entomb us
The swords of scorn divide
Take not thy thunder from us
Take away our pride”
– G. K. Chesterton
Take away our pride
Take away our pride
Take away our pride
Take away our pride……….
