May or may not be

A lie to one’s self

And no one besides

Who is believing

What their mind

Wants to believe

Or does not want to

Yet, in fact

When or since

There is no

Proof of a lie

Then belief usually

Overrides truth

Regardless if it is

Truth, or is not

Making a belief

An unintended

Hierarchy or authority

Over objective reality

Perhaps then

Make believe it is true

Is more of

A command

Than an idiom
