I Was Listening to Time
I heard nothing and chaos
At the infinite speed in infinity
It was calling to me
To listen to myself
Ponder perceptions of chronology
Knowing it is a man made construct
With its latest establishment
Laid out by railroad companies in 1883
Later updated in 1918, just 107 years ago
Not to mention, years had thirteen months
Before Ceasar and his ego set the Julian calendar
Assumed to be by an executive order
Before new powers that be
Changed it to the Gregorian calendar
Until the latest emperor with no clothes
Changes it to trump time to register our
Devolutionary declination to survival
Not of the fittest, but the most loyal where
Justice takes on the quality of revenge
Equality is privilege redefined from the top down
Billionaires are the new bosses and
“Crumbs look like cake to the masses.”
“Hanging from the Cross” – John Trudell
Actually, this post started because
I was listening to “Time” by Pink Floyd
And even though I have heard it
Many times before, it caught my ears
To realize how hauntingly beautiful
The sound was coming from the radio
As learning to play the guitar has
It intrigued me to hear things differently
Deciphering between keyboard sounds
Bass, and / or lead, or rhythm guitar music
“What can this strange device be?
When I touch it, it gives forth a sound
It’s got wires that vibrate and give music
What can this thing be that I found?
See how it sings like a sad heart
And joyously screams out its pain
Sounds that build high like a mountain
Or notes…… that fall…… gently….. like rain
I can’t wait to share this new wonder
The people will all see its light
Let them all make their own music. “
“2112” – Rush
One thing I have learned from
Listening to time is that
It is rarely convenient
That, and as Brian Greene points out
It does follow an arrow
I Was Listening to Time
I heard nothing and chaos
At the infinite speed in infinity
It was calling to me
To listen to myself
Ponder perceptions of chronology
This is sumptuous! I felt into an altered state just reading it, time itself dissolved into one radiant light

Thanks, it sounded compelling when I said it to myself. Then, I knew there was a title to a post.
Unfortunately, I digressed into politics, and there are infinite numbers of alternative solutions that could have solved the problems they are trying to fix with a chain saw.
