No Such Thing
As “free” speech
Words are way
To valuable to
Be lumped in with
Anything considered
To be “free”
There are no thoughts
Not attached to words
If you think you have
A wordless thought
Think again, because
There is no such thing
If so, try and describe
A wordless thought
Free speech is an illusion
That can make many or
Even an “individual one”
Irresponsible with words
By intending them to be
Deceptive or malignant
Distracting and devious
Instead, words
Could be clear and accurate
Positive and life-affirming
Words can cost you
Your attitude and outlook
Used ignorantly or negatively
Fear or hate filled, even violent
Depending on context and intent
Words are much more valuable
Filled with hope, love, and peace
Free:
1 not costing or charging anything

Words are not free
Although perhaps individually they are
It is when words are put in context
Their value and importance change
Also, it depends on who says what
When Shakespeare, Goodhal, and Einstein
Get “quoted” it has much more impact
Based on their underlying contributions
To society as a whole, then anything
Clever and creative, I might manifest
Protecting “free” speech is irresponsible
What needs to be preserved is honest,
Thoughtful, intelligent, compassionate,
Enlightened, heartfelt communication that
Elevates, inspires, engages evolutionary dialog
Emanating from a source of all words…. Word
Last lines are precious, Angelo. And much needed to be realized at this time. Profound, as always, my friend. I appreciate reading it. Thanks for sharing. Light and blessings to you – today and always 🙏 🌟 🌈

I agree with Susana. The whole thing stopped me in my tracks, made me dig deep as how profligate we are at spewing ‘words’ that may or not have meaning or truth.
Thank you for your continued commitment to showing us the way.
