I Am Not A Scientist
Nor do I play one on TV
Or stay at a fancy hotel
Which is why I am confounded
About the underlying verbal tic
Of big bang theories that get
Presented from alleged sources
Repeated more oft than not
About the birth of the universe
As if it actually happened at
Some point in nonexistent time
Inherently defying all logic at
Every turn, twist, reason, and guess
Depicting projections of assumptions
On absolutely nothing verified
Anywhere in the observable universe
Of even some remote tangibility, save
Putting pen to graphic paper or
Intricate digitized designs
Usually, for some purpose of being
Always shown from left to right
Never right to left or up from down
Just a dot emanating into a cone
Going in one direction outward
Instead of every which way
Scattered like uncontained explosions
Might typically rapidly expand
Riddle me this Batman
If infinity started from nothing
What was it surrounded by ??
Besides, if one went to the “edge,”
Of the observable universe
There would only be more
Infinite observable universe
And, guess what, no proof
Whatsoever of a “big bang”
“Can you deal with that?”
– George Carlin
Yes!
Isn’t reality just so much more expansive than we ever imagine?! We all get caught up in our pet theories and miss the ever bigger picture far beyond our comprehension. We could just be in awe.
Thanks Angelo!

From this perspective, I continue to be in awe and try to appreciate each experience as an experience. For that is inherently its value. As it may or may not repeat.
