The Perception Paradox
That which you feel
Can not be real
That which you see
Is a projection
On a moving screen
That which you hear
Is not stored anywhere
Just to be clear
That which you
Have tasted
Is either on your
Waist or wasted
Which you can not
Recall the flavor
As if you didn’t
Eat it at all to savor
It was once there and
Now it is gone
Which is where you’ll be
Before not very long
Nothing catastrophic
Is going, to happen
Though often that is
Generally, the distraction
The only moment you have
Is the one right now
Ooopsie, you missed it
Now you look around
Wondering how
Probably because
You were reading this
Which momentarily
Put you in a state of bliss
Maybe that is true
But probably not
That’s the trouble with
The perception paradox
