Faith

September 28, 2017

I’m an atheist, but, not very strong in my faith. Catch myself praying in tight spots.

– Brett Erickson

How can faith supersede proof, using biblical references? That is not faith, that is conjecture. With the supposition being that it was translated with perfect accuracy from Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek. Written down years after they were originally orated, remembered and retold.

Then translated and revised, re-translated and re-re-revised. Depending on who was in “charge” or who wanted to be.

Consider it then, as a printed version of the “telephone” game. It is audacious to regard, that what remains in the hundreds of varied versions printed or audibly recorded, would garner anything but encryption as to what the “word” of God is.

“You know there is a living God that will talk directly to you – not through the pages of a Bible, that forgot to mention dinosaurs.”

– Bill Hicks

Faith has such an intrinsic essence, infused with all the energy of the cosmos. That the words of God, the reflections of the universe, resonate right past logic and reason, bypassing the brain and speaking directly to the heart.

Where this stopped and probably “should” have. Yet fingers kept going.

Having no religion, my “faith” tells me that no all powerful, all knowing, all loving God, drowned “his” first batch of kids.

Genesis 6:7

So the Lord said, “I will wipe from the face of the earth the human race I have created—and with them the animals, the birds and the creatures that move along the ground—for I regret that I have made them.”

– New International Version (NIV)

Conclusion : God loves fish.

Nor did “he” “allow” filial-cide, as a tool of manipulation to “forgive” any bipedal earthling artist of their alleged transgressions.

Perception : The rewriter’s used that to control people to behave to their liking.

“If God is so pro life, why did he send his son here to DIE?”

Tom Simmons

Oddly enough, though one might not extrapolate it from reading this. Methinks that Jesus character existed, just not with the badly believable beginning or eerie awful ending.

Here’s a qualifier, give it the “heart” test.

Could either of the above ring true, if both are contradictory to thou shall not kill?

Strange advice coming from someone whose heart is, perhaps smaller than the Grinch’s. Where rationale, logic and incomprehensible selfishness reside.

Consider, God is the thought, before the thought is “assigned” a word.

“Words are all we have, really. We have thoughts, but thoughts are fluid.

Then we assign a word to a thought and we’re stuck with that word for that thought.

So be careful with words. I like to think that the same words that hurt can heal, it is a matter of how you pick them.”

– George Carlin

Based on what you have read so far, is it hypocrisy of biblical proportion to keep referencing it?

John 1:1

In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Goin to stop here, before I gut future planned posts, unwritten ones or repeat too many previous ones.

Or go off on some wild tangent that might completely dilute this post.

“A New Earth”

Although Eckhart Tolle, might think me completely insane.
