Selling ourselves short from all the back patting and back slapping going on. We put blinders on, afraid to see who we really are.

Using the most godlike tool in the toolbox to deceive and self manipulate.

Words.

Words like American Values.

Two very powerful words, in and of themselves.

Must be the tonal qualities and syllables that register warmly with the psyche.

Past that, it’s all bullshit.

American

A.  The first letter of the alphabet.
A.  The grade you get for good work.
A.  Apple mmm. Apple pie. Mmmm

Mmm, mom, mom’s apple pie mmmm.

Mer, as in merrily, feeling joy, happy

Ican, imbedded positivity  I Can
Values

Val as in valiant brave or courageous

Value a derivative of valuable worth a lot

Ues as in you, you and us are valuable

America must stop bragging it is the greatest country on earth and start acting like it.

I know this is uncomfortable for the faith over facts crowd, but the greatness of a country can to a large degree be measured.

Here are some numbers.

Infant mortality rate # 48

Overall health # 72

Freedom of the press # 44

Literacy # 55

Oh, and did I mention that we owe China a Trillion dollars. We owe everybody money. America is a debtor nation to Mexico. We’re not on a bridge to the 21st century. We’re on a bus to Atlantic City with a roll of quarters.

And this is why it bugs me, that so many people talk like it’s 1955 and we’re still # 1 in everything. We’re not, and I take no glee in saying that because I love my country and I wish we were. But when you are #55 in this category and #92 in that one. You look a little silly waving the big foam #1 finger.

As long as we believe being the greatest country in the world is a birthright, we’ll keep coasting on the achievements of earlier generations and we’ll keep losing the moral high ground.

You can’t get back to some place, you have never been to. It’s not possible. However the ideal broken down in the above might still be a place worth getting to.

But, it has to include every bipedal earthling, oxygen breathing, monoxide exhaling, red blooded, skeleton supported, solar powered, carbon-based, large brained, earth inhabitant, omnivore, artists that has been spawned from the living planetary Gaia Consciousness.

Perhaps renaming them Earthly Values, since earthly has most of the letters of motherly and it is from where we were all spawned.

Honoring what is sacred, for our briefest of brief, infinitesimal amount of time that we are here. Not spent fighting amongst ourselves or playing the game of “Who dies with the most toys wins.”

Of course I have that on no authority, however, if you reverse engineer our existence, that will, bear out.

No invisible bogeyman “breathed” life into any sand or clay, later to be cut up and steal parts from to bring life into a nurturing creature that would need be subjugated to the former.

Why? Because “his” “creator” “said” so.

There’s a crafty “fake” precedent. Hmmm.

Only to lead to some millennium length process to out evolve that notion simply because it is in “print” somewhere.

To which the collective ought catch on to, before granddaughters end up in Gilead.

Besides, it would be a lot more empowering to decide to believe (That is what free will and the power of the mind can achieve.) that our ancestral predecessors willed themselves out of some warm wet oozy silt, making good use of an infinite intelligence / god force.

Certainly that would also help in escalating our evolution towards becoming divine beings of light and love.

Rather than merely accepting the notion that some dude floating around in the absolute zero cold vacuum of a colorless lifeless cosmic nothingness decided to “create” humanoids after having made a nice warm wet well lit place for them to stay and eat. A gigantic bed and breakfast, if you will.

.Only to dislike the behavior of the whole lot of them, excersizing “his” option to drown all but a few of them. (I guess, if one builds it, they have the “right” to break it.) Not, that the leftovers were any better, since they too were from the first batch.

That is like gambling with your own self made “weighted” dice, box car side heavy, hoping to roll sevens, knowing regardless you will always come up with snake eyes.
Faltering the weak notion of omniscience.

If an entity was that omnisciently and omnipotently powerful enough to be able to “create” billions upon quadrillions of an infinite number of nuclear explosion spherical sources of life maintaining heat and light to even more ball shaped rocks in specific and continuous elliptical orbits, would have had the same wherewithal to completely start over with a brand new batch of humanoids.

Or simply bale on the whole thing and enjoy some peace and quiet in the dark

Beliefs are not stagnant, they are as malleable as the fluid thoughts assigned to the words made-up to attach to the definition of what a belief is in the place where it became convenient to utilize the part of consciousness that needed it to evolve.
