Hearsay convenience and repetition

How do we know there are only ten numbers

Because it is what has been taught

It is convenient and easily repeatable

Hint : There weren’t always ten

Until zero came along

It didn’t always have twenty six letters

So why would it have stopped there

Has the museum tweaked the carbon dating

Or come up with some radiation method

How could it possibly be so accurate

As the guide confidently states they started

What you know is what has been taught
