POWER
If the allegedly elected and
Supposed powers that be
And performers who present them
Had at all any of humanity’s
Best interest in heart and mind
They would do so accordingly
Making sure everyone was fed
Had plenty clean drinking water
Decent shelter and sewage systems
Doing and presenting simple credible
Ways to accomplish that ASAFP
But that’s not the case now is it
.
“That might be something that
Christ would do” – George Carlin
.
Which of course could be done
By strengthening our similarities
Instead of exaggerating our differences
Unfortunately there is no money
In that kind of behavior no story to
Frighten intimidate and manipulate by
Keeping people choosing sides of which
On a sphere has absolutely no sides
Depleting that personal power
Freely given to those who use it
In less than benevolent ways
Because it is demanded by them
.
If one word could change the world
It mighr be to change Imagine to Realize
“Imagine” (Realize)
Realize there’s no heaven
It’s easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Realize all the people
Living for today…. Aha-ah…
Realize there’s no countries
It isn’t hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion, too
Realize all the people
Living life in peace… You…
You may say I’m a realist
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will be as one
Realize no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Realize all the people
Sharing all the world… You…
You may say I’m a realist
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will live as one
– John Lennon

“Power to the people”
.
Power to the people
Power to the people
Power to the people
Power to the people
Power to the people
Power to the people
Power to the people
Power to the people, right on
Say we want a revolution
We better get on right away
Well you get on your feet
And into the street
Singing power to the people
Power to the people
Power to the people
Power to the people, right on
A million workers working for nothing
You better give ’em what they really own
We got to put you down
When we come into town
Singing power to the people
Power to the people
Power to the people
Power to the people, right on
I gotta ask you comrades and brothers
How do you treat your own woman back home
She got to be herself
So she can free herself
Singing power to the people
Power to the people
Power to the people
Power to the people, right on
Now, now, now, now
Oh well, power to the people
Power to the people
Power to the people
Power to the people, right on
Yeah, power to the people
Power to the people
Power to the people
Power to the people, right on
Power to the people
Power to the people
Power to the people
Power to the people, right on
– John Lennon
