Felled Trees

If a tree falls in the forest

And no one is there to hear it

Does it make a sound?

If an event occurred and

No-one was around to see it

Did it happen?

I am amazed and am guilty too

When an event occurs un-experienced

The amount of prognostication and

Speculation of what actually happened

Is narrowed down to an individual’s

Perception based on either life’s

Experience or merely wild extrapolations

Which may then gets “proven” otherwise

Still mostly falls under first impressions

Worse yet is when yourself or others

Will verbally compete against opinions

Trying to convince the other that

What “occured” is their version

Even though neither experienced it

We are crazy creatures are we not
