Words Are Tools
In the hands
Of carpenters
Or demolitionists
(Where this should have stopped)
(Captain Obvious wants to chime in)
.
How they are used
Determines what they
Build or destroy
Crafting eloquence
To inspire and uplift
Skilfully with passion
As opposed to swinging
A wrecking ball
With precision or
Reckless abandon
While both seek new tools
To perfect their craft
As the world rides along
On its beautifully ornate path
To catastrophic annihilation
.
“Just an observation, maybe I need different glasses.”
