The Same Flag
Pay attention to the symbolism
The same flag fluttering in the breeze
Is the one that has been torn down
To be cut down into red and white strips
Tied together to bind our sisters, daughters
Mothers and they’s with reproductive organs
From having autonomy over their bodies
With the starry section used to gag their
Mouth closed as to their own bodies
Because the powerful patriarchy said so
Which, egotistically, would like to say
I saw it coming, but did not, rather thought
Abortion was going to remain in the cycle
Of hot button social topics of distraction
To keep us fighting amongst ourselves
Like flag burning aka first amendment rights
Or gun ownership aka 2nd amendment rights
Figured the fourteenth was way down the list
To actually be overturned by religious zealots
So corporations can keep going to the bank
A simpler more effective solution would have been to reallocate the $ 750,000,000,000.00 or 750 Billion dollars (annually) away from the military industrial complex hint… (money spent towards the intended goal of killing people).
Somehow “right to lifers” are okay with that??
For whoever the corporate patriarchal imperialistic hegemony decides to eliminate that might be standing in its way of cheap gross profits.
To pay graciously for the health, nurturing and care for the now born and people ready and capable, with loving patience wanting to do that. So society would evolve into the realization that every spark of the divine is precious, not just when it is in a womb.
Putting our money where our mouths are…proving it actually wants to take care of the unborn, once they are actually born.
Oh wait…..
That is something Christ would do….
Ooopsie.

This is the wisest thing I’ve come across on the whole debate. Can we please avocate for chastity? To treat ourselves and others with dignity? All the gluttonous behavior renders us incapable of higher thinking and feeling. Why do we gravitate towards the basest options?
Thanks for your observations.
