Faith In Action
Or rather doing inaction
Can be easily observed as
A mattress along the road
Which did not get “there”
There by itself, but by those
Who secured it poorly
But had faith it would make it
As did all of the mattresses
You do not see along the road
That did not require faith
But more rope, better knots
Or an enclosed trailer
Instead of trusting in gravity
Over velocity and acceleration
That one would rest easy on
A comfy bed of practicality
Even an old mattress instead of
The new one you’ll need to buy
Damn, faith is expensive.
“Just an observation,
Maybe I need
Different glasses.”
