Only when one is sleeping

The most peaceful, deep

Restful, near comatic state

Beyond realms of REM

Having surpassed

Eternal exhaustion

In a dark, pitch black, quiet

Silent room of comfort

Tranquility and temperature

Does the universe know

To have someone call you and

Disturb that near divine death

Of blissful unconsciousness

On the off chance that you alone

Will be able to alter their boredom

With the most mundane inquiry

That left unasked for eons

Would be soon enough
