The Game Changer

September 23, 2024

AKA Kamala Harris / Tim Walz

Will not change the game

Too many people are on the take

Of their perception of

Identity politics for their sake of

Having something to identify with

Since self-realization is too scary

(I must align myself with either the

Red or the blue, since my willingness

To line up with their lies and promises

More closely match my own deceptions)

Ought it not matter more for

The collective to solve problems

Than pick either side to do nothing

Regardless of who gets in the “House”

The economy will do what it does

At the whims of which * “Davos” man

Makes money grabbing into an art

Of greed towards crass consumerism

Which includes making, selling, and using

Weapons of war against the people

As their blood oils the very machine

Most individuals would dismantle

As an evolutionary step towards peace

But noooooo

The distractions are too great to

Stop identifying with whichever side

Is convenient to have blatant opposition/s

Sports teams, race, religion, skin color,

Gender, class, height, weight, age, guns,

Rights, flags, nationalism, patriotism,

Immigration, energy, vehicle propulsion

Whether the earth is flat or spherical

Education, or rather indoctrinations

(If one only knows global conflicts must

End in violence and destruction, then that

Is all each subsequent generation will use

To solve its territorial and resource disputes)

Designed to keep playing the deadly game

Of daily chaos revolving around fear

(I must keep ahead of the Joneses while

Seeking a perfect artificial body, living in

The right neighborhood with all the latest

Gizmos and gadgets all the while living

In fear, my fellow earthling will surpass me

Constantly regurgitating opinions that line up

With the ones I’ve accepted as true into

Believing they are my own through repetition)

Change the game

Is to stop playing”

    You remind me of Plato!

He explains how political degeneration happens, how a well ordered community and state can disintegrate over the time. It might start by those who come into power derived from seeking honor. But they’re generally not endowed with wisdom, so they get corrupted by the promise of money and control. Now they shift their power to create a culture that indulges the appetites, frivolity, and immorality of the young, and exploit them to create debt. The young become corrupted because they don’t even pursue wisdom, just self-satisfaction. They become lazy and immoderate and incapable of being the future citizens that a flourishing civilization needs. Then you convince them that they’re victims of an unfair system which only serves to make the rich even richer because the citizens now demand something for nothing, they become the useless and impotent drones for the elite (politicians, corporate heads, etc.) mimicking their slogans. The drones waste their time hating the other side, mounting protests for causes they don’t even understand, all while sinking further into the mire. They could choose to become good and true persons with healthy souls, and step out of the very organized machinery made for them to be cogs in. But they’d rather indulge in their puppeted rhetoric.

Has been going on for over two thousand years. It’s fun and sad to watch it play out. Free will right at hand, but few choose self-reflection and a path to wisdom. Thanks for being one who does.
