There Is No End

December 2, 2024

To the conversations

We could be having

Regarding Society’s

Ills and foibles

To put it mildly

Around those

In power for the sake

Of exercising power

Against the bourgeoisie

Plus the proletariot

While most individuals

Know (of) their exploitation

Can not muster either

A defense or attack to

Eliminate the unbalance

For it only takes the one

Tiniest shiny apple * or

Hyperbolic distraction

To lose formidable focus

Of demanding divinity

Kind of exactly like

“The same way we use sports and television in this country, to distract people and take their minds off how bad they’re being fucked by the upper one percent.”

– George Carlin

Unfortunately there is

No beginning either of

The conversations

We could be having

Because the mindless

Manipulations of medias

Keep everyone screened to

Their distraction devices

When not watching sports

Drinking beer and fantasizing

About being on the team

Since, it is “their” own team

Or being trolled by bots

Surfacing at “random”

Extracting empty opinions

On topics that no one

Has any expertise about

Save ego satisfaction

It must know…..because

It can regurgitate responses

Via Pavlovian triggers

Knowing it irritates their ire

Like a doctor tapping on

A knee bone for a jerk

“That’s the way the ruling class operates in any society. They try to divide the rest of the people. They keep the lower and the middle classes fighting with each other so that they, the rich, can run off with all the fucking money!

Fairly simple thing. Happens to work. You know? Anything different–that’s what they’re gonna talk about–race, religion, ethnic and national background, jobs, income, education, social status, sexuality, anything they can do to keep us fighting with each other, so that they can keep going to the bank!”

– George Carlin

“Humanity” is not very pretty

When it sees itself

In a collective mirror.”

– Angelo Devlin

“All That You Have Is Your Soul”

“Oh my mama told me
‘Cause she say she learned the hard way
Say she wanna spare the children
She say don’t give or sell your soul away
‘Cause all that you have is your soul

Don’t be tempted by the shiny apple
Don’t you eat of a bitter fruit
Hunger only for a taste of justice
Hunger only for a world of truth
‘Cause all that you have is your soul

//

I thought that I could find a way
To beat the system
To make a deal and have no debts to pay
I’d take it all take it all I’d run away
Me for myself first class and first rate

But all that you have is your soul

Here I am waiting for a better day
A second chance
A little luck to come my way
A hope to dream a hope that I can sleep again
And wake in the world with a clear conscience and clean hands

‘Cause all that you have is your soul

All that you have
All that you have
All that you have Is your soul”

– Tracy Chapman

Spectacular perspective. If only we could remember to let the world’s ills and theatre flow through like Siddartha’s (or Heraclitus’) river… Everything flows.

I heard a cool question today: “when does Now begin?”

Let’s ripple love and peace in our portion of the unending Now and let the kindly waves inspire others to do the same.

    Just like you do!

“Give you an example, there’s a moment coming, it’s not here yet, it’s still on the way, it’s in the future, it hasn’t arrived, here it comes, here it is, oh, shit, it’s gone. There’s no now, there’s no now, everything is the near future or the recent past. But there’s no present. Welcome to the present, whoosh, gone again. It’s just so imprecise.

They were trying to teach me how to tell time, and of course, you can’t tell time, time tells you.”
