Conspiracy Schmeracy

January 29, 2025

At this point,

I don’t believe anything

While believing everything

Why not? It has all been

Protracted as well as reduced

To a meme or headline

Capturing doubt as an art

Convoluting science

With religion to prove nothing

2 + 2 might as well be 5, and 4

Numbers don’t exist in nature

We made them up for ourselves

For amusement, gambling, and taxes

Trade, weights, and measurements

Speed and distance either

Imperially or by metrics

Counting non existing money

A finger blaming who knows who

While the other three

Point at, you know who, who

Is responsible for perceptions

Of daily distractions

By not focusing on each

Miraculous moment

That occurs instantaneously

In the now, now, now, now….

Always, all ways, every which way

Forget the big conspiracies

JFK
9 11
Pearl Harbor
Gulf of Tonkin
Waco
Oklahoma
Flat Earth
Moon Landing

Which are all provable or not
If you follow the money, $

While the underlying conspiracies loom large
Keeping people suspicious against people
Via genders, immigration, climate change,
My team, your team, human ownership,
Alleged free speech, circumstantially
Eliminating intelligent speech and dialog

Red states, blue states, life beginnings,
Religions, guns, “drugs” vs. pharmaceutical
Poisons with warnings and permanent
Profits built-in, in case of a faulty product,
Debt ceilings, forest floors, wasted water,

Readily available water if only Canada
Would turn on that big faucet in Amerikkka’s
Newest northern fifty first state as soon as 47
Starts deporting the French unwanted immigrants

Ooopsie, got caught up in my own extrapolation
Just to show how, I, too, can be easily distracted

At least, that is my conspiracy schmeracy theory

It’s hard to believe things. Its going to get worse. We are in an age of deception.

    Interesting query…

What do you think of this? We have 10 digits on our 2 hands. We can say that we have QRP digits. And they both might be right, as long as QRP = 10. Symbols are always a translation of a real thing. Just like I can say “four” or “quattro” but they both point to the same real number.

I’m not sure what benefit we get by pretending to wrangle Reality into false symbols, except for temporarily convincing (and confusing) somebody that we’re “right” – even though we’re very wrong.

Do we sometimes confuse the symbol for the thing in itself? I can announce that I am 12 feet tall, and even believe it in my imagination. But who will share my reality? It’s the Emperor has No Clothes zone. (which is what I think you’re also saying).

We have to be careful that we don’t degrade language so much that nothing means anything (or everything will mean nothing).

Perhaps sanity can be measured by how close our language is to actual reality.

As always, thank for making me think!!!!

I think I understand, and yes, 2 + 2 = 4. My issue is that our alleged elected “leaders” are as usual, speaking out of both sides of their mouth. So that their audience hears what if wants to hear. The hypocrisy is mind-blowing, not on the politicians’ part, but rather their followers. Interpreting delusional misinformation, then modifying them in their mind to justify bizarre behaviors. Mostly because it is a side they picked and refuse to consider the deception as a nefarious, as it might undermine their own perceived credibility.

Ah! I see. Yes, I completely agree with that. If you have two people sitting together, a third person walks up, says a sentence to them, and walks away, each person is going to hear something different depending on how they perceive the person who walked up. “Confirmation bias”

        Thanks for clarifying!

Just a thought, although I do not know for sure. Animals do not know or do not need numbers and, or words to live. They, I suspect, do not know time or months or that it is Tuesday. A dog or a monkey might be able to count to ten, but it is only because humans “taught” them to. The same goes for humans. We didn’t always have 10 numbers or negative numbers. Likewise, the alphabet, didn’t magically have 26 characters, but that is where it stopped. Why?

Great question! Plus some languages have different alphabets that have more letters and fewer letters.

Animals might have their own alphabets. (just kidding)

I heard a great joke about how humans survived without having any claws or poisons or armor, because they evolved to have the best brains to invent tools and gadgets that they could use to protect themselves against beasts more than 100x their strength, they figured out how to wear carcasses to endure the ice age, they got through famines and world wars, but eventually they’ll be afraid of words. So true.
