The Unfathomability

March 27, 2025

Of infinite infinity

Is something I could

Think about all

Non-existant day long

While being “Naked on a bean bag

Eating Cheetos” – Ron White

Wondering why beliefs

Transferred into books

Give credence both to

An invisible dude or an

Untraceable beginning

When neither have any validity

Save for words put together

In such a way, creating a

Cute story or vague theory

That their only credibility is

Because it is in print or

Digitally pixilated on a screen

Beyond that, all bets are off

One ought to have faith in faith

Or rather their faith in a belief

Because as words go, that is

Where their invisible power lies

If believing can save Tinkerbell

Imagine what it does for you

Not in the projection of an

Omniscient being rolling dice

Helping survivors of a crash, but,

Not preventing it in the first place

Administering life challenges

Like some egotistical narcissist

Who thrives off of the attention

For the trouble caused initially

“It’s God’s will”  – George Carlin

Then, praised for being the cure

“It’s God’s will”  – George Carlin

If one has the power for the latter

Certainly, it was there for the former

No wonder some people think

The universe sprang from nothing

Both religion and science cling to

Similar versions and tout either

As a pseudo explanation, that

Does not need any clarification

Other than existence just exists

Is that not miraculous enough

.

Methinks so

You’re a sassy one! So good. I do think all science and all religions are looking for the same thing. Trying to understand or comprehend what the heck we’re doing here. How and who are we.

If we were enlightened we would stop thinking about that and just be. No need to ask. Which is always where your posts lead me to. Just be. And be kind.

I think the theories (from whichever domain they spring) persist over time because there are still some hints or clues that will lead people to the same conclusion that you’ve already arrived at. If they were to actually live out their precepts instead of talking about them, they’d get there faster.

    You’re bypassing the middle man/word. 😉

I follow Neil DeGrase Tyson on social media. He seems to have his feet planted loosely in both.
Innuendoes to the BB and leanings towards it all just exists.
Ironically, that is where (in my perception) all the “proof” is.
