Experimenting With Experiences

April 28, 2025

Once one realizes that

Everything is an experience

It creates an environment

In which to experiment

With an “if then” flow chart

Series of contemplations

Projections of outcomes

Mostly based on previous

Perceived experiences

If not unexplained intuitions

Satiating serotonin levels

To even higher heights

Heightening experiences

In the underlying evolution

Towards total enlightenment

……… or not….. no one knows

No one knows, and yet, we all know

“You gotta have a series of smaller goals,
that you can accomplish, and slowly work your way up.

And this is what I have done. That’s why I’m so happy.

My goal:

Right now, I want to be the all-being,
master of time, space and dimension.

Then, I want to go to Europe – I think.”

– Steve Martin

No matter what you do

Eventually, you will “die”

Or at least cease to live

This current experience

Which one may get to

Or not, experience again

“The heaviest burden:

“What, if some day or night, a demon were to steal after you into your loneliest loneliness and say to you:

‘This life, as you now live it and have lived it, you will have to live once more and innumerable times more; and there will be nothing new in it, but every pain and every joy and every thought and sigh… must return to you—all in the same succession and sequence—even this spider and this moonlight between the trees and even this moment and I myself.

The eternal hourglass of existence is turned over again and again—and you with it, speck of dust!’

Would you not throw yourself down and gnash your teeth and curse the demon who spoke thus? Or have you once experienced a tremendous moment when you would have answered him:

‘You are a god, and never have I heard anything more divine!’ If this thought were to gain possession of you, it would change you as you are, or perhaps crush you.

The question in each and every thing, “do you want this once more and innumerable times more?” would lie upon your actions as the greatest weight.

Or how well disposed would you have to become to yourself and to life to crave nothing more fervently than this ultimate eternal confirmation and seal?”

― Friedrich Nietzsche

I like this thing of experimenting with life. Otherwise, you will never know it; just pass through it. Interesting ramblings, as always, Angelo, and very meaningful quotations. Thank you for sharing. I appreciate reading. Lots of light and blessings to you 🙏 🌟 🌈

You hit the nail on the head with ramblings, a “headline” pops in my head, then the rest just flows out of my fingertips. Likewise, the quotes, stored for no reason, wait in line, to help make sense of what was written. Thanks for always checking in.

Yes, beautiful. This is our freedom. To be happy regardless of any circumstances. To have an interior freedom that allows us to ‘enjoy experience’ itself is sufficient for a very good life.

Just heard this on the Howard Stern satellite show.

Life is full of misery, loneliness, and suffering—and it’s all over much too soon.

      – Woody Allen

Same could be said for happiness, love and joy. Guess it depends on how one wishes to view their experiences.

For sure, Angelo! We can just say -Yes- to whatever happens and then choose to be curious how it fits into the bigger picture. Take any experience and see how each person chooses to interpret. What story they choose to tell about the moment is going to influence whether it is registered as something positive or negative. Any event itself is ‘neutral’ – a moment of cosmic positioning – then we get to do the work of yay or nay. Such freedom! Even if we experience sad or bad moments (say death of a beloved), we can embrace our sadness as the ability to feel deeply and not as a negative that we push away, afraid to feel.

Can’t wait for your next fountain of wisdom!
