Reality Falls
On deaf eyes
Because no one
Wants to see
What they know
To be hearing
The voice within
Saying not only that
We are one
But rather all is one
Never beginning
Never ending
Just a whole
Infinite entirety
Impossible to be
Separate from itself
“God is the voice that says,
I am not here..”
Don DeLillo
The voice you can hear
Without any ears
That is only silent
While you are sleeping
Which begs the questions
Where do you go and
Who turned off the sound
One could dissolve
Into the ether from
Particles into waves
From matter to light
And back again in a
Planctonian nanosecond
And the only thing
That you can recall is
Emerging from slumber
To turn off an alarm
Prior to that, your
Previous existence is
Purely theoretical
Save an agreed to construct
Of the universal mind
So that you might
Experience experiences
For the sake of experience
Wherein lies is how
Reality falls
“The Grand Illusion”
“Welcome to the Grand illusion
Come on in and see what’s happening
Pay the price,
get your tickets for the show
The stage is set, the band starts playing
Suddenly, your heart is pounding
Wishing secretly you were a star.
But don’t be fooled by the radio
The TV or the magazines
They show you photographs
Of how your life should be
But they’re just someone else’s fantasy
So if you think your life is
Complete confusion
Because you never win the game
Just remember that it’s a Grand illusion
And deep inside, we’re all the same.
We’re all the same…
So if you think your life is complete confusion
Because your neighbors got it made
Just remember that it’s a Grand illusion
And deep inside, we’re all the same.
We’re all the same…
America spells competition,
Join us in our blind ambition
Get yourself a brand new motor car
Someday soon we’ll stop to ponder what on Earth’s this spell we’re under
We made the grade, and still, we wonder
Who the hell we are. “
– Styx
“When you’re born, you get a ticket to the freak show.
When you’re born in America……… you get a front row seat.”
– George Carlin
We are one body and one mind and one life. Everything we think and choose affects this precious life. We could know that whatever decisions we make impacts the whole world. Might we choose differently if we think of that first?

I’d like to think I’m approaching that, finding myself calmer in situations that, more often than not, would have yielded a lot more anger and vitriol. Must just keep in mind the whole whole.
