I See The World
As a fun house of mirrors
Navigating my way
Down empty hallways
Towards double reflections
With me behind me and
Also, in front of me
Recognizing that everything
Reflects internally for what
Is experienced externally
Quantum mechanics teaches me
That which is not observed
Does not exist
Until then, it is all just waves
Since, in my best perception of
Not having a victimhood mentality
I don’t see or experience tragedies
Merely events that happen, causing
Responses that occur in lieu of
Reacting like I have no control
Which requires one or the other of
Intentional and unintentional detachment
Unintentional from learned behavior
Intentional via self-preservation
Both, near instantaneously
Conscious and unconscious decisions
An observed tree is just a tree unless
I perceive to “be” that tree, whereas I
Can picture myself as that tree with
Deep roots, absorbing nutrients from
My surroundings to grow each year
Provide strength, comfort, and shade
Or simultaneously be the sun and sky
To provide heat, light, and rain that
Allows the tree to grow in the first place
Conditions that manifest the holistic
Approach that all, All is One absolutely
Or perhaps this is just therapy for a solipsist
“Strong Enough To Bend”
There’s a tree out in the back yard
That never has been broken by the wind
And the reason it’s still standin’
It was strong enough to bend
For years we have stayed together
As lovers and as friends
What we have will last forever
If we’re strong enough to bend
When you say somethin’ that you can’t take back
A big wind blows and you hear a little crack
When you say “Hey, well, I might be wrong”
You can sway with the wind till the storm is gone
(Sway with the wind till the storm is gone)
Like a tree
(Like a tree)
Out in the back yard
That never has been broken by the wind
Our love
(Our love)
Will last forever
If we’re strong enough to bend
(Yeah)
When you start thinkin’ that you know it all
A big wind blows and a branch will fall
When you say “Hey, this job takes two”
We can sway with the wind till the skies turn blue
(Sway with the wind till the skies turn blue)
Like the tree
(Like the tree)
Out in the back yard
That never has been broken by the wind
Our love
(Our love)
Will last forever
If we’re strong enough to bend
Our love
(Our love)
Will last forever
If we’re strong enough to bend
“All of that
Which has reality
Has no basis
In reality”
– Angelo Devlin
I feel so much peace from this post. As if I too am part of that tree and universe, inside the electrons that have transmitted this moment and these words from whence they arose all the way to my eyes and brain and whatever makes it possible to decrypt the symbols and space arranged on the screen to arrive at meaning.
I am awe.

Thanks, sometimes it seems like I write it, it gets written, then…….. I understand it. Like the context and content is the teacher and I am the student. Yet, it is all me.
