What The World Needs Now

August 24, 2026

Is not love, sweet love

But rather one………

Gigantic squishy

One that everyone

Can feel while sitting

On their tushy

Large enough to soothe

Everyone’s anxiety

Big enough to share

Without possessivety

No need to trade or get

Multiple ones to aquire

Just one they can touch

Satiating their desire

That they are connected

As a part of the whole

Maybe it is love

That is needed after all

(Close enough, using my poetic license)

My apologies to Jackie DeShannon

“What the world needs now is love, sweet love
It’s the only thing that there’s just too little of
What the world needs now is love, sweet love
No, not just for some but for everyone

Lord, we don’t need another mountain
There are mountains and hillsides
Enough to climb
There are oceans and rivers
Enough to cross
Enough to last ’til the end of time

What the world needs now is love, sweet love
It’s the only thing that there’s just too little of
What the world needs now is love, sweet love
No, not just for some but for everyone

Lord, we don’t need another meadow
There are corn fields and wheat fields
Enough to grow
There are sunbeams and moonbeams
Enough to shine
Oh, listen, Lord, if you want to know

What the world needs now is love, sweet love
It’s the only thing that there’s just too little of
What the world needs now is love, sweet love
No, not just for some but for everyone

What the world needs now is love, sweet love
What the world needs now is love, sweet love
What the world needs now is love, sweet love

What the world needs now is love, sweet love
What the world needs now is love, sweet love. “

Global squishy to the rescue!!! Love it!!! Who would have thought of such a brilliant thing.

And to render it in poetic rhyme.

What the world needs now is your genius.

It is not coming from me, but rather through me. Thanks though.

Mmmm you make me wonder what the difference is. 😉

Does the world (the Word) ask of each of us exactly what is needed at any moment?

Thought experiment: Does our yes lead to harmony (for the world)? While our no leads to a kind of violence (in whatever form that might be)?

Latin violationem “an injury, irreverence, profanation,” noun of action from past-participle stem of violare “to treat with outrage, dishonor”

This is me trying to say (though maybe stepping past my lane): do we cause a universal “injury/dishonor” whenever we say no to that which life asks of us?
