Why is it

That this country

Has a

War department

Oh, excuse me,

Defense Department

Which I believe

Has yet to be

Used for defense

And not a

Hungry and Homeless Department?

 

In an allegedly “Christ”ian nation. I’m no biblical scholar, yet, no where have I read or heard that, that Jesus fellow maintained a standing army.

So that through violence murder and oppression, could get his message of peace out.

Where this should have stopped. Period.

 

If a person was a country

And another country

Threw a punch at the first,

Then it put its arm up to

Block the punch

That would be defense

Throwing a punch

(Preventive Defense)

Aka “Attack”

To protect “freedom”

Lessens it, as now

One has to keep

Looking over their shoulders

Waiting for the

Justifiable counter punch

For a 158 years a division of the government was called the War Department 1789 – 1947

It became the Defense department 1949

In 1948, it must have been called
The Limbo Department from an all too quick sprint on the euphemism treadmill.

The “classified” name for the defense department is the, Ministry of Imperialism and sovereign country invading, resource stealing, weapon toting, income tax supported blood spilling machine. 2001

Or perhaps a strong armed bullying tool for crude commodity commerce and any other mineral the corporations need more of without paying the sovereign citizens.

Maybe if the populace quit kidding themselves with the soft language, we could evolve into the enlightened beings we’re supposed to be.

 

Let’s call it what it could be.
