Indoctrination
: to teach (someone) to fully accept the ideas, opinions, and beliefs of a particular group and to not consider other ideas, opinions, and beliefs

Like the name you have had since birth, most everything you know has been gleaned from what you have been told, read, seen or heard.
Most of it pummeled into your head by your parents because you were small, weak and malleable and they knew no better. Garbage in garbage out, so to speak.
Regurgitating the status quo, falling in line with little variation from what they learned from their parents.
If not parents, then society squeezing you into a pseudo-individuality notion, cloaked in catastrophic conformity.
Mostly ponying up sides, who’s grass is greener, what side of the tracks you grew up on.
The “greatness” of “your” team, “your” religion, “your” race, “your” city, “your” state, “your” country, etc.
Inflating an already buoyant arrogant self aggrandizing ego.
Decimating creativity, intuition nurturing, empathy and spirit.
Why?
Because you were told so.
.
The theoretical proof that this is true, would be if you and I were plucked off of this planet then transferred to another one. Whilst having our counter evolutionary memory erased.
Perhaps, even a planet like this one. Yet where the inhabitants only knew peace and understanding, cooperation and sharing.
Respecting, honoring and caretaking the Gaia consciousness that birthed them in the first place.
Making impossible the concept of an omnipotent and omniscient force into a male dominator Santa Claus look-alike angry, vengeful yet allegedly forgiving god that lives in the sky.
One whom, though the magic of bullshit, had subordinates transcribe vague rules, infinitely open to interpretation, impossible beginnings and unlikely outcomes.
As a means of controlling masses, like schools of fish using fear to have said masses turn on a dime without thought, awareness or impending danger.
Enticed to blind consumption as the only means of spiritual fulfillment, discarded and dumped when the next new shiny object appears.
As that has become the end all be all of this existence.

As Bill Hicks called it
“The third mall from the sun”
Or George Carlin put it.

From
“Life is worth losing”
“It just seems to me, that only a really low IQ population could have taken this beautiful continent, this magnificent American landscape that we inherited.
Well actually we stole it from the Mexicans and the Indians, but hey, it was nice when we stole it. Looked pretty good, it was pristine.
Paradise.
Have you seen it lately? Have you taken a good look at it lately? It’s fucking embarrasing.
Only a nation of unenlightened half-wits could have taken this beautiful place and turned it into what it is today – a shopping mall.
A big fucking shopping mall. You know that, that’s all you’ve got here, folks. Mile after mile after mile of malls after malls. Many, many malls. Major malls and mini malls.
They put the mini malls in between the major malls, and in between the mini malls, they put the mini marts. And in between the mini marts, you got the car lots, gas stations, muffler shops, laundry mats, cheap motels, fast food joints, strip clubs and dirty bookstores.
America the beautiful. One big transcontinental commercial cesspool. And how do the people feel about all this? How do people feel about living in a coast to coast shopping mall?
Well they think it’s JUST FUCKING DANDY!”
