The System Of Government

We do not live in a democracy

We live in a complacency

At the helm of a kakistocracy

Disguised as a plutocracy

Which is really an idiocracy

When instead if everyone

Did as they pleased and

Adhered to the “Golden Rule”

Instead of always being

Manipulated by the “Rule of law”

That generally does not apply to

The makers and enforcers of law

We could live in a meritocracy

Combined with a technocracy

Of experts in their field

Teachers, farmers, engineers

Bridge builders, food distributors

House builders, doctors, nurses

Guiding and developing new ways

To improve everyone’s

Earthly experience seeking balance

To leave a better planet

For subsequent generations

In the likely or unlikely event that

We return again to govern ourselves
