Am I suggesting anyone

Take anyone’s guns away

That has to be an evolutionary

Individual / collective decision



I have no weapons because the

First person I’d use it on would

Not be here to write this nonsense

Besides, in all perceived reality

There is nothing a gun could do

To protect a loved one if it were

Locked up to protect a loved one

To shoot someone who had one

If it was so easily accessible it

Could also be used to harm themselves

Or get discharged by “accident”

Harming perhaps another loved one

Then they’d have to live with that



While contemplating writing this

The phrase rolling through my head was

“I know responsible gun owners”

Which in and of itself seems inaccurate

I only know what they tell me as to how

Responsible they project they are as a way

To convince themselves, way more than me

Making them semi-responsible gun owners

A responsible person would not own a gun

As it really is just a Freudian projection

To compensate for feelings of inadequacy



Their “guns” are never going to be used

For their justification for having so many

Which is in defense of a tyrannical gov’t

(How they hunt, when they can not see

The forest through the trees, is beyond me)

Their gov’t already has them living in fear

Without lifting a finger, save using the media

To scare the bejesus out of them constantly

On an hourly daily weakly endless basis

To the point of malleable mind over reason

That it’s a God given second amendment right

To keep and bear arms, though their children

Could die with such unfettered rights and

Unregistered access to deadly devices



How are we not yet huddled together

In one big global grieving counseling session

That misconstrued words in a document

Can wreak such havoc over deadly freedoms

Simply for having been deeply indoctrinated

That it is a God given right to have one/many



(I know I just recently used the following quote, but it is a good one to make the point)
