I Am So Glad

I am not a scientist
In the same way
I am thrilled I do not
Cling to religious dogma
Where non proof
Seems to be both’s
Belief of a Holy Grail
Either in an invisible man
Or the nauseous notion
Of a beginning Big Bang
Recently the James Webb telescope
“Discovered” more galaxies
Even further away than imagined
(Not mine, my imagination
Is already there and beyond)
Causing the scientists to
Readjust their calculations
On the actual age of the universe
Instead of acknowledging its
Infinite infinity-ness that keeps
Being proven over and again
“Infinity is so big, that everything that has ever happened, on earth in the exact same order, down to………. that … pause has happened an infinite number of times, all through out the universe.
Everywhere in space, there is a you, making the same colossal f**king errors, that you’ve made your entire life.
So if anybody ever tells you, you can do better. Go, apparently not.”
That’s infinity.”
Joe Rogan
Which is just as bad as religion
Trying to convince people of
A more definitive description
Of a divine deity that decides
One’s fate based on behavior
Or…… random circumstances
That “he” needs challenge you
Along with all of the other
Eight billion he’s keeping his eyes on
Not to mention weather patterns
Earthquakes, forest fires, icy roads
Sporting events and Golden Globes
Maybe the scientists could turn
Their $10B, yes Ten Billion Dollar
Toy around and focus it on the
Earthly inhabitants and what
They are up to in their so called
Godlike treatment of each other
Oops just realized it is Godlike
“Hey if you read history, you realize that God is one of the leading causes of death.
Has been for thousands of years. Hindus, Muslims, Jews, Christians, all taking turns killing each other because God told them it was a good idea.”
– George Carlin
Forget blaming God, for it is upon the realization that humans have a tendency to try and objectively kill outside of themselves, what they do not like inside, in spite of themselves.
From Rush “Territories”
“The whole wide world
An endless universe
Yet we keep looking through
The eyeglass in reverse
Don’t feed the people
But we feed the machines
Can’t really feel
What international means
In different circles,
We keep holding our ground
Indifferent circles,
We keep spinning round and round”
While it would be fun to consider
Myself a logician and a pragmatist
Turns out either of their existence
Is still, get this, based on belief
Which is substantial as nothing
Yet, am so glad I am just me
“Just an observation,
Maybe I need
Different glasses.”
– Angelo Devlin
