An Honest Debate
Would be refreshing
Not by those two nudnicks
Vying to be mass murderers
That’s not going to happen
After all deception is their
Key to seek and gain power
From what little I heard
Individual one was trying to
Win by sheer decibel levels
The other by triggering triggers
None of which collectively
Solve any problem but is rather a
Polished act for a live performance
To keep the masses
Glued to their seats
Pointing fingers at the clowns
Jugglers and jeremiad jesters
So the audience can later
Mean meme and tweet their
Selfish subjective opinion
As to how their “side” “won”
When clearly the audience does not win
There is no resolution in a debate
Watching the “presidential” debate
It is like watching verbal TicTacToe
Or children, with crayons at a restaurant
Playing the same winless game
(Anybody see “War Games”)
Occupying their time to behave
While waiting for the food to arrive
An honest debate would include
The meaning definition and purpose
Of the word honest and its value
Between a white lie and a “Big” lie
White Lies
• Told to protect others
• Self-protective
• Avoid awkward situations
Real Lies
• Told to benefit the self
• Self-serving
• Create pain and discomfort for others
– verywellmind.com
Plus, the “debate” ought to be more of a dialog
Between more than just two people
Having a harangue for no sake
The perception and perspective change
Depending on who is using honest and why
The group could include politicians, lawyers
Insurance executives and preschool children
Honest
1 a: free from fraud or deception
– M-W.com
My guess is that the preschool children
Would have the most refreshing and refined
Un – indoctrinated view of the key meaning
“A strange game.
The only winning move is not to play.
How about a nice game of chess?”
– “Joshua”
“War Games”
Another sapient commentary! It’s like they just don’t care that we’re not fooled any more. Just puppets dancing to their masters for the sake of our distraction.
