If the alleged left

Wants to truly win

Fail to realize is that

The left and right wing

Belong to the same bird)



The first thing they need to do

Is stop mentioning

What’s his name’s name

Like it disappeared

From their vocabulary

Some temporary profits

Will be at stake, briefly

But the incursion of

An elevated humanity

Methinks would be

Worth the cost

Along with a revisit

To a calmer sanity

Where we can all regroup

Catch our collective breath

Make peace with our self’s, then

Make peace with our other selves

Which is us anyway

Set up as reflective mirrors

So we can understand us better

By seeing who we really are

In how we behave and react

To someone who doesn’t look like us

Believe the same things we do

Who is in a different economic situation

But still is inseparable from who we are

That would also like to win by

Participating in the calculated gamble
