Nobody Knows
What life might be like
On the planet Mars
Save for projections
On what we may have
Seen or heard so far
For years, we believed
There is no water
It is what we need
To live, but who cares
Each of the 8B individuals
Thinking. If only they could
Design their own utopia
To go, they gladly would
A life unbelievably
Imagined with such mirth
When the same could be
Accomplished on this earth
Starting with looking around
Stop terraforming the ground
Destroying habitats so
We can live safe and sound
Here is how we will
Make it safely to Mars
When everyone here is
Housed fed and healthy
Under the exact same star
Then there will be
No reason to go
We will have made
Heaven here
Now you know
“My solipsistic worldview
Does not allow me to see
What may be real reality.”
– Angelo Devlin
Yes! This and this again. Your vision is what we need. Thank you for sharing it with the world, as it is, and as it could be.
If each of us would just stretch a bit more towards this vision, it could come to be sooner than we imagine.

I think also what you’re getting at is the rampant hypocrisy that we each have – I say we, meaning me too. No sense pointing fingers when I can just turn them on myself as well – and the sooner we convict our own hypocrisy, the better off we’ll all be. The conflict between what we say or preach and what we actually do is what keeps us from heaven on earth (or any other planet or plane of existence.) The sooner we can align our stated truth with our lived truth (while always aiming up), the sooner we’ll embody Love.
