Cherish Unproof
There is no proof
Of anything
Only concepts that
Substantiate beliefs
Putting information
In a book or on a blog
Or in a meme or in stone
Doesn’t prove anything
It only “proves” the
Information is somewhere
Which ironically is not proof
If the internet goes down,
A book gets destroyed
Or stones get crushed
The proof is as good as gone
The only proof then is in this
Perceived temporary moment
Ironically, it disappears
The moment it shows up
POOF, there goes your proof
“Hold onto nothing
As fast as you can, “
– Tori Amos
“Pretty Good Year”
Books and imagination
Seem to be the biggest culprits
Of substantiating beliefs
Because if you question some
You will soon realize
That you have none
The best that one can do
Is conjecture a belief
Surround by perceptions
Inflate the ideation that
The unknowable is real
Break it down to its very
Nonexistent core
To understand that
The only thing that exists in
This moment
Is this moment
(Cogito, ergo sum)
“I think, therefore I am.”
– René Descartes
Conclusion
When I stop thinking,
I won’t be here.
Love the zinger at the end!!!
I was going to ask about ‘memory’ – I suppose it’s like a book that might get burned (alzheimer’s?)

Memory is crazy when one considers that the molecules of the brain are zipping around like all the other molecules, making things tangible. Still, they are moving. Exchanging, decaying, while holding on to what seems to be pertinent or useless information. Yet participating as memory as part of the collective mind construct we have all agreed to in order to play a game of life.

Excellent point! Now the question becomes if memory is held in molecules? Or are they pulses in the atmosphere that get picked up by molecules which act like antenna in the brain? or is it not physical at all? Free floating stories?
