I’ve read just enough philosophy to not know whether or not I’ve read enough philosophy.
It has been said that it is cruel to put dolphins in aquariums to be observed by humans.
Are we really so arrogant to think that perhaps if the dolphin is as intelligent as we may believe it to be, that it didn’t squeak and chirp it’s way into manipulating humans into creating an aquarium so that the dolphins could easily observe humans?
