Sometimes it feels like I am just now dripping out of the primordial ooze.

Yet, seem to have some innate and albeit usually unwanted awareness of a comprehensive understanding of duality that I can not shake.

Like being both Pandora’s box and its contents. Not quite open, just a bit unhinged.

By definition, we are all litter bugs.

Leaving trash in a public place.

What is the difference between throwing a wrapper out the window or gathering all of your trash, pay some company through taxes to haul it away into an even larger public place?

The PSA I remember and since Googled,  was scene after different scene of small amounts of debris being tossed from cars, and scattered on streets, closed out in the sad ending of a First people’s person crying.

When a public service announcement is sandwiched between ads, selling you more stuff to be thrown away.

It is a hypocritical, contradictory, mixed message, bewildered, incongruous, juxtaposed, dissonant theory, mind #uck.

That wreaks havoc on your psyche of not wanting to live in a filthy environment then immediately switching to the consumer impulse of buying more landfill fodder

Besides, environmentalist don’t give a shit about the planet, they don’t care about the planet, not in the abstract they don’t, not in the abstract they don’t.

You know what they’re interested in? A clean place to live. Their own habitat. They’re worried that someday in the future they might be personally inconvenienced.

Narrow, unenlightened self-interest doesn’t impress me. Besides, there is nothing wrong with the planet, nothing wrong with the planet.

The planet is fine. The people are #ucked. Difference. Difference. The planet is fine.

– George Carlin

“The Planet is Fine”

I get it, I am guilty to.  I shop for my share of shit too. So, opting for a mathematical solution put it to numbers.

If I am 1 of 8 billion  (rounding up…as of this writing)

1 ÷ 8b = .000000000125

Or

1.25 x 10( -10th)

The daunting numerical self-realization in all likelihood that anything I do at all will affect / effect any change whatsoever.

Regardless of what I may write, say, do, eat, drink, buy, sell, store, consume, waste, recycle, paint, pick, wipe burn, drive, flush, observe, tell, instruct, remind, believe, share, love, hate, wear, dump, lose, find, keep, destroy, break, repair, see, interpret,  hear, misinterpret, create, alter, disguise, expose, highlight, warn, build, bend, twist, configure, file, think, feel, smell, taste,  touch, kill, free, save, desire, expect, reject, dismiss, cherish, esteem, bank, respect, diminish, extol, add, subtract, multiply,  scream, whisper, cut, heal, cancel, prescribe, measure, adjust, sail, dock, skip, rewind, play, work, watch, read, tell.

That is just for this moment, right here,  right now, forget the past, ignore the future, enjoy the present, saved for tomorrow, what I could not put off today.

Even though yesterday I was up to the minute, a day late and a dollar short. Timing it so I would finish when I began.

Therefore, the realization is, the only thing I can do is be kind and compassionate to the individual .000000000125’s surrounding me.

I’m way closer to dead than I
Am life of the party, and I
Don’t have children, so why am I
Getting so enraged about all
This nonsense?
I don’t care.
I don’t care getting all upset
About the fucking planet.
I’m gone pretty soon.
I left no litter behind.
That’s your problem.

I’m treating this planet like
The fucking rental car that it
Is, and I’m turning it in
Trashed with a bumper hanging
Off, fuck your insurance, fuck
The environment, I didn’t ask to
Be here.

(audience cheers and applauds)

Someone created me.
Yes, I know that’s a selfish
Thing.

It’s a selfish thing.
But you know what?
I’ve cared about other stuff,

And, yeah, me not caring about
Stuff, well, affects it as much
As me caring about stuff, which
Is none.
