Hallow Or Hollow

You decide

Having gone from:

“This day marked the end of summer and the harvest and the beginning of the dark, cold winter, a time of year that was often associated with human death.

Celts believed that on the night before the new year, the boundary between the worlds of the living and the dead became blurred.

On the night of October 31 they celebrated Samhain, when it was believed that the ghosts of the dead returned to earth.”

The mass manufacturing, distribution and consumption of one day, maaaaaybeeeee two day clothing.

Combined with a hoard by hordes of sugary sweets. That may be consumed for its empty calorie content, or land directly in the land fill.

After planting, watering, harvesting distributing a food source vegetable primarily for entertainment and even more landfill fill.

“For many, carving ghoulish faces into pumpkins is an October tradition. But it could be creating a nightmare for the environment.

Every year, 10 million pumpkins are grown in the UK. Of those, 95% are used at Halloween and then thrown away – creating 18,000 tonnes of food waste.

It’s a similar story in the United States, where most of the 900,000 tonnes of pumpkin produced annually will be trashed, rather than used as food or composted.”

Ever wonder why we don’t evolve as an allegedly intelligent species? Me neither

Like Christmas

Certainly no longer about the celebration of the birth of a teacher, an Ascended Master who tried to teach.

Teach by example, simple things like forgiveness, helping the poor, feeding the hungry and healing the sick.

Where instead, the student body worshipped not in houses of prayer, rather in the scattered and well stocked den of thieves.

By the way, it is not the corporations fault satiating a sickness. It is John and Jane Doe’s, for being unconscious Pavlovian consumers.

Think if there was a mass spelling error and all the black and orange signage turned up as Holloween, anybody would notice, or care?

“Just an observation,
Maybe I need
Different glasses.”

– Angelo Devlin

Chuckle.  Mass spelling error. WTF.  Where do these goofy thoughts generate?
