Stop Celebrating
The birth of a Master of Wisdom
Any schmuck can be born
Regardless of the deception
Of the ridiculous conception
Figure out how to emulate
The MOW’s behavior
Let’s see..forgiveness
Healing the sick
Feeding the hungry
Kicking the money changers
Out of your temple
This all started after seeing a billboard my muse put up on the highway of some church, inviting driver byes, to join them in a celebration of the birth of Jesus. Making sure I could read it to transfer it into a blog post.
Just for starters, since there are so many buildings identified as some way, Christ’s church. Wouldn’t that be a good place to practice real world scenarios.
Instead of where people “gather once a week to compare clothing.” – George Carlin
“If these people believe in God, they must have heard that God Loves Everyone, and he loves them equally. // Maybe they ought to check with that Jesus fella. They’re always talking about “What would Jesus do”?
They don’t want to know so they can do it, they just want to know so they can tell other people to do it.”
– George Carlin
In an evolutionary step, the clothing comparers could get together and role play various situations and worse case scenarios. Forecast and adjust behaviors in mindful WWJD hypotheticals.
I am no biblical aficionado, however a popular search engine search came up with these.
Luke 6:29
“If someone slaps you on one cheek, turn to them the other also. If someone takes your coat, do not withhold your shirt from them.”
Matthew 5:39
“But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also.”
Nevermind, “That might be something Christ would do.” – George Carlin
No where has any Bible references popped up suggesting that billions of shekels, bekahs and talents be spent, mind-numbingly on gross consumption for the sake of gross consumption to boost the economy. Thereby healing the sick, housing the homeless and feeding the hungry. Besides every day evidence shows, that doesn’t work.
“Just an observation,
Maybe I need
Different glasses.”
