The Big WHAT IF
If the NFL can stop a game
Because a player is hurt
Something to consider then….
WHAT IF humanity
Could stop a war, because
A soldier was killed?
Or a civilian
Or a pregnant mom
With other children
Which would seem to be
The most violent abortion
One could have and not survive
Just asking ????????
For 8 Billion friends
Playing the game of life
Ooopsie WHAT?
STOP A WAR
There’s no profit in that option
No military industrial complex
To waste Trillions of $$ on
Pitting humanity against itself
While earning and surviving
To keep up with the Joneses
Building stockpiling destroying
“People don’t want anything near ‘em… except military bases. They don’t mind that do they? They like that. Give ‘em an army base, give ‘em a navy base, makes ‘em happy, why? Jobs! Jobs! Self-interest! Even if the base is loaded with nuclear weapons, THEY DON’T GIVE A FUCK!!!
They say “well, I’ll take a little radiation if I can get a job!” Working people have been fucked over so long in this country, those are the kind of decisions they’re left to make.”
– George Carlin
“Football represents something we are –
We are Europe, Jr. When you get right down to it, we’re Europe, Jr. We play a Europe game.
What was the Europe game?
“Let’s take their land away from them! You’ll be the pink, on up; we’ll be blue, the red and the green!”
Ground acquisition. And that’s what football is, football’s a ground acquisition game. You knock the crap out of eleven guys and take their land away from them.
Of course, we only do it ten yards at a time.
That’s the way we did it with the Indians – we won it little by little. First down in Ohio – Midwest to go!
– George Carlin
We laugh, because it’s true. Because….
If you want to tell people the truth, make them laugh, otherwise they’ll kill you.
Oscar Wilde
But after the laughter. We are supposed to look in the mirror, address that which we don’t like what we see, fix it. Then next time we all look, we will all be more beautiful.
And, less likely to kill our collective self.
“Just an observation,
Maybe I need
Different glasses.”
– Angelo Devlin
