Word
I’m sure this is my longest written roller coaster thus far, enjoy the ride. Keep your head back, arms and feet inside the car as there are tangent twists and bifurcation bends. Enter at your own risk and please exit safely.
Praise Words
John 1 1. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
For millions of years, mankind lived just like the animals. Then something happened which unleashed the power of our imagination. We learned to talk and we learned to listen. Speech has allowed the communication of ideas, enabling human beings to work together to build the impossible. Mankind’s greatest achievements have come about by talking and its greatest failures by not talking. It doesn’t have to be like this. Our greatest hopes could become reality in the future. With the technology at our disposal, the possibilities are unbounded. All we need to do is make sure we keep talking.
-Stephen Hawking
As best presented by the intro to Pink Floyd ‘ s “Keep Talking” from the “Division Bell” (sound and context exquisitely presented to have a more forceful impact). “Keep Talking” is most excellent as well.
Now for a visual.
Here’s what God looks like to me.
WORD
Why, because words are the manifestations of thought. An expression of the divine. Thoughts (god head) create words (god),
Perhaps, the bi-pedal species learned to talk, because it’s eyes weren’t quite open yet, and although they are now, the connection is not solidified, because we are not yet doing, what we see and know we should be doing.
It’s not so much that the homosedentarians have the idea of creationism as being wrong, but rather backwards. It’s not god that made man, it’s man that made god.
See, the whole God thing got out of hand. (We humans, when are we going to have a meeting, we got out of hand again.)(We took the God thing, and ran off the goddamn end of the earth with it). We got this God notion, its a good notion, it’s probably a right notion.// Generally speaking we have been rather self centered about our attitudes with God.
In fact we created him, in our own image and likeness. // He never started and he’s never going to end, can you dig it.// First of all we claim that he is us, and that is probably the best way to get at it.
Most of the major religions have said, Love your God, love your neighbor, love yourself, // because basically it’s the same guy.// So if God is you and me, and we’re God, he’s not perfect, cause we are pretty far from it. How could he be perfect…….? He’s not, it shows in his work.// And everything he makes….dies.//
It’s like the caterpillar builds the cocoon and the butterfly gets all the reviews.
George Carlin “God” from “Toledo Window Box”
Again, I’m not looking to be right, but be understood.
Think of the personal power you would have, if even for just a fleeting moment, that you are God.
For starters, you would LOVE, everything you created, and never bring any harm to your creations. After all, everything is
your creation. Energy only changes form.
Jesus Christ, I hope this isn’t blasphemous.
On some level, and on occasion, (it happens more often, than nought ) that responsibility, runs through my head.
For example, it occurs to me that this post, might offend someone, (probably shouldn’t post it) and for that, I apologize.
Others might be enlightened by it, (and is a shame, it was not posted earlier ) I’m putting this out as quickly as I can.
That’s when I become slightly aware, that responsibility is the responsibility of the individual.
If I could find the switch in my brain to turn off these thoughts I just might, yet some “feel” like they come from the heart, and I’m aware of what happens when the plug is pulled on that appliance.
As for god just arbitrarily putting stars in the sky, just because, simply doesn’t work anymore, we’ve evolved past that bs story.
Soon, it won’t matter, since there are so many lights, emanating from this little, blue green ball, we won’t be able to see the stars anymore anyway. Stars, nice story, if you are a child and can accept a simple answer, however it’s not true, and if you get very deep inside your “being”…………see it, feel it, know it. The stars have just always been there and always will be.
Genesis 1:16
God made two great lights–the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars.
That bible verse will soon be obsolete, when a kid or anyone looks into the “night” sky and can only see an illuminated haze off the smog and pollution we are gradually choking ourselves off with.
Ever think of the lost inspiration and wonder of who we are, is going missing, because our place in the galaxy is obscured by our need to shine lights on things that aren’t worth looking at?
That, or maybe we are simply too afraid of the dark.
Regarding the star thing, know it’s not true, and is a deeply imbeded meme, that needs to be stripped from our consciousness so we can evolve.
Based on the biblical notion of god, here is what i got from a Tommy Barnett “quote” from “A power of a half hour “
“Align your values with gods values.”
Basically that states, if you don’t like how your kids turned out with the minimal effort you put into them. Drown them.
That is one of the messages conveyed in the “Noah” story.
If you tell the story of Noah and the ark to an 8 year old retarded boy, he’s going to have some questions. //
Well Bobby, once upon a time, God was angry at all the people of the world, and instead of telling them what they were doing wrong and offering guidance, he decided to go and drown everyone.
He only told one man, a random man named Noah. // He wasn’t a special man, in fact he was 600 years old and a drunk……Anyway, God told Noah to build a great boat, and he and his family would be the only people to survive the flood.
Because, apparently all the other people with boats, their shit didn’t work. Noah magically got two of each animal to come to him on foot from all over the world and willingly boarded the boat and got into cages.
They sailed away for 40 days and 40 nights….civilisation began anew.
8 year old retarded boy is going to go, ahhh, there’s a lot of holes in that story.
Joe Rogan from “I was raised a Catholic / in search of Noah’s ark”
As for the tree of life? Did it have annual rings ? 1 week old, hmm? Plus you would think that if it was a tree of “life” it would still be here and “alive”.
Ironically the slow evolution will be the exponential over breeding that gets us to the same point as if we could collectively, by slowing down and working towards enlightenment, by making this a better world for children to come to.
“Childbirth isn’t natural…..I’ll let that sink in. Childbirth isn’t natural. We’re not supposed to give birth. We’re not supposed to age or die. Did you know that? We’re supposed to live forever. We’re supposed to be in a garden, right now, leaning against a tree, naming animals, and the fact that you don’t know the name of every animal in the world, tells me something. You know what it tells me. We left the garden too soon.
What’s that?
I don’t know.
It’s a Wombat. Shut up and go back to the garden.
No rutting till you name all the animals.
We have to have a beutiful world where children can come to.
Ok. That would be knowing your world. Ok. //
I don’t know with all the margaritas we buy we can afford a child, honey. // “
(Of course, this all stems from the Doug Stanhope “selfish” notion that I don’t feel like I belong here in the first place.)
My only contribution is my lack of contribution. That and verbally finagling ideas to convey a message that at the core of what most people complain about is that there are too many incarnates here at the same time.
Like an over loaded life raft, being too full defeats its purpose, and is in danger of capsizing..
Geez, that’s along way from describing God as words. I think this ride skipped the tracks.
