A Perfect Haiku

(There’s arrogance for you)

.
Everything’s perfect

To alter it would be to

Make it more perfect

Shiny Objects

America is like a child

Walking down a toy aisle

With a broke parent

Suggesting the most

Compelling toys

Can be theirs

If they just follow him

Down the aisle

You can have a wall toy

To play with and keep

Out imaginary enemies

A tax break etch a sketch

So you can turn it

Upside down erasing

What was created

Using left and right knobs

Or malignant monopoly

Where everyone runs

Around an endless loop

Paying banks or the tax man

Wherever the random

Roll of the dice lands them

Either in wealth or jail

Only to get to the

End of the aisle

With nothing to see

In the empty cart

Some children hoping

That if they go down

Another aisle for

Four more years

There’ll be more

Great toys to play with

Say maybe operation

Without batteries so

You can win regardless

How much damage

Is done to the patient

Either way, by time you

Reach the end of the long aisle

There won’t be a cart left

To put any toys in anyway

Tea? Anyone?

Paranoia brews dark

In perceived isolation

Steeped long in hot fear

Gathering gloom from

Last pages of old book

Every time is an end time

Except when it is not by

Moving the goal post

Adapting metaphors to

Present day problems

As concrete concoctions

Are literally impossible

Plus weren’t even transcribed

In the language used today

So is it quite possible

The truth was lost in

The translation to a

Language that didn’t even

Exist until about 600 BCE

What if a person had to learn

Aramaic Greek and Hebrew

To actually “know” the “truth”

Would they try to learn them

Or is it much easier to accept

The language that they

Perceive to understand

Some written revelation

That is so widely open to

Vague interpretation

Close enough to entice by

Myths innuendo and God

Distance never to be closed

It can be used today or

A century ago and still

Be seen as relevant

In time at the time

Specifics be dammed

“But these lunatics always go

“Well, ’cause it says in the Bible…”

Ok, stop, hang on.

I’m glad you like a book. I really am. At this point I’m glad that anybody’s reading anything. And I’m not even putting down the Bible.

Give it a read. The Bible is terrific! It’s got monsters and adventures, and, hey, if you like torture porn, check out the Old Testament! Oh man! Any Saw fans out there? Wooo! Get the Old Testament!”

– Patton Oswalt

It has come to my attention that a few of my fb friends (let’s call them at best, acquaintances), besides blasting their malignant methane memes.(farting out someone else’s opinion) Usually found on right-wing, conspiracy central, pro-45 websites.

They have moved on to the equivalent of parading around carrying a sandwich board sign, that states the “END IS NEAR…. REPENT”

Allegedly grown adults, happily married, with full time jobs, who as you have interacted with them, seem relatively reasonable.

Have taken over a digital street corner, shouting to anyone who is willing to listen. The dangers of not modifying one’s behavior to adapt to written words in an oversold book.

One that has been translated, modified, reduced, rewritten, revised, and for what?

Want to know when the world ends?

When the sun explodes……..

Until then have a good time.

“Take care of yourself and take care of somebody else.”

– George Carlin

.
Besides…

“It’s just a ride. And we can change it anytime we want. It’s only a choice. No effort, no work, no job, no savings and money. A choice, right now, between fear and love. The eyes of fear want you to put bigger locks on your doors, buy guns, close yourself off. The eyes of love, instead, see all of us as one.”

Here’s what we can do to change the world, right now, to a better ride. Take all that money that we spend on weapons and defences each year and instead spend it feeding and clothing and educating the poor of the world, which it would many times over, not one human being excluded, and we could explore space, together, both inner and outer, forever, in peace.”

– Bill Hicks

Right Reasons

There are no “right” reasons

Only selfish ones as there

Are no reasons whatsoever

Only perceptions that serve

The only moment at the time

For the next moment may

Render the right as wrong

Depending on one’s viewing

From the next moment on

Feeding the cliche that

Everything happens for

A reason

It doesn’t

We are living in a

Chaotic as #$@& universe

There is no reason for it

It just is

Beautiful or ugly

Creative or destructive

Empty or full

Hint (it is more empty)

But because we use words

Instead of our best instincts

External information

Over internal knowing

Aka our head over our heart

Which alone would give reason

To trust ourselves instead of

Government and religion

Mass media and advertisements

Dysfunctional laws and parents

None of which are shining

Examples of healthy behavior

Following the do what I say

Or at least cleverly innuendo

And not what I do mantra

Which are done for all

Of the wrong reasons

Anew Haiku

Always start anew

From this moment to the next

It is all you have

Hoaxed

When is a hoax

Not a hoax?

When it is not

A hoax

.

A hoax would require

Willing participants

To knowingly engage

In acts of subterfuge

.

Victims are manifesting

Their own victim hood

As a means of justifying

Their own ignorance

.
The only hoax that

Has been perpetrated

On the people is that

45 is a leader

Nice Or Otherwise

When you have

Nothing to say

Say nothing

A Bit Wordy

Words can seduce you

Words can reduce you

Words can lift you

Words can shift you

Words are there to remind

Words best used to be kind

The boundlessness of words

And their meanings fascinate

The very idea of of using

A combination of oval

Curved flat and straight lines

On screens or paper

To transfer thoughts from

Assumably one’s brain

Into a form of communication

Is miraculous and proof of God

Not categorized words in a book

Written removed and revised

Rather words in and of themselves

Always existing only changing

Shape form and definitions

Oral written expessed infinitely

Strange source to prove my theory

John 1:1

In the beginning the Word already existed.

The Word was with God, and the Word was God.

.

Which still makes God by definition

Infinitely open to interpretation

One that casts the most doubt

Is an old white man on a cloud

Which is a really strange perspective

As even that is hardly seductive

Still it’s what people want to believe

For me it’s words that give relief

Replaceable

Humility is understanding

One is a replaceable cog

Rotating a replaceable pinion

On a replaceable gear

Turning a replaceable wheel

Inside a replaceable housing

In a replaceable machine

Growing Up

In the house

Nobody lived at

Merely those

That functioned

In their roles

Mom dad

Brother sister

Occasional dog

All but one that

Mysteriously

Disappeared

Built fresh in a

New neighborhood

Not quite gated

Rather….. pompous

Friends scarce

Nowhere to be found

Stay home

Build character

Clean fold dust

Make beds

Vacuum rake

No……..

Not the leaves

The shag carpet

And for God’s sake

Put things back

Where they belong

Whatever you do

Keep occupied

“Busy” doing stuff

Eat everything on

Your plate even if

You are full or

Don’t even like it

Should I go on or

Save the rest for

My autobiography

As this came about

From the contemplation

If I could “live” there now

Would I ………….hmmmm

Although it is built and

Designed very well

It is only a house

Not a home….like

Where I live now
